NHS Choices

NHS Choices sees the NHS starting to dip their toe tentatively into the wonderful world of web 2.0. How I missed the launch during the summer I don’t know but it looks adequate on a quick glance, although I was hoping for a lot more interactively - perhaps this will come in due course. The site is a bit of a dog’s dinner in terms of design and layout and there needs to be a lot more work done on links supporting a subject (for example, a search on gangrene allows you to look for useful links which include condom essential wear, back pain and abortion !) In terms of recording patient journeys and problems I’m also not sure how well this will cope in the age of spin with the trip advisor model once people start communicating their real views of care and cleanliness in hospitals and elsewhere.
